Atea reports financial results for Q2 2015
15 July 2015
Atea reported revenue of NOK 6,842 million in Q2 2015, an increase of 14.4% compared with last year. EBITDA before option and restructuring expenses decreased by 11.2% to NOK 157 million, down from NOK 177 million in the corresponding quarter last year.
“Atea had strong growth in revenue during the second quarter of 2015, but with lower operating profits due to reduced profitability in the Danish and Norwegian business units. We are taking steps to restore profitability in these business areas”, commented Steinar Sønsteby, CEO of Atea.
For the first half of 2015, Atea reported revenue of NOK 13.3 billion, up 12.4% compared with last year. The Group’s EBITDA before option and restructuring expenses was NOK 359 million, up 0.5% from the corresponding first half of last year, reflecting a strong performance in Q1 and a decline in Q2.
Atea expects continued growth in the IT infrastructure market, as organizations invest in new IT solutions to enhance productivity. This adoption of new technologies is creating greater complexity for IT departments, and driving increased demand for specialist competence in IT infrastructure and system integration. This trend strongly benefits Atea, as a system integrator with expertise across multiple product platforms.
Based on its leading market position and competitive advantages as an IT infrastructure and system integration specialist, Atea is becoming an ever more important partner to customers across the Nordic and Baltic regions, and is well-positioned to capture the long-term growth opportunities within the IT infrastructure market.
