You will become part of a team with a high professional standard, offering various opportunities for professional sparring across all areas. Together with the team, you will be responsible for ensuring that Atea takes the right contractual and commercial risks when we issue proposals, negotiate contracts and deliver under existing contracts.
Commercially minded, independent, and outgoing
We are looking for a commercially minded and proactive lawyer interested in and experienced with negotiation and advising on IT contracts and IT law. You should be eager to actively engage in close dialogue with the business to challenge commercial terms and assessments while being a professional sparring partner for the business on contractual and legal matters. You will have the opportunity to shape your own role and tasks while collaborating with Atea's other companies in the Nordics and Baltics. Therefore, we emphasize that you are proactive, independent, contributing ideas to your role and tasks. You will also be involved in Legal & Compliance's use of AI tools already used daily.
Depending on your profile and motivation, your work will involve the following:
- Legal assessment and identifying risks and solutions in tender material when submitting proposals as well as supporting our public business with general advice on procurement law.
- Drafting and negotiating primarily IT contracts with private market customers. This includes participation in RFI (Request for Information) and RFP (Request for Proposal) responses as well as negotiation generating the best possible value for the business.
- Supporting projects with legal assessments and assistance.
- Advising on dispute cases.
Additionally included:
- Drafting/revising contract templates.
- Handling employee inquiries regarding established compliance policies/code of conduct.
- Training colleagues on both compliance/IT contractual topics.
- Developing/maintaining contract templates.
About you: You will join a specialized team possessing high competence levels; structured approach towards stakeholder management within large organizations having many stakeholders; clear communication skills/messages desire continuous development/improvement competencies.
Qualifications: We always welcome hearing from candidates but prefer:
- Law degree (cand.jur or cand.merc.jur) plus some years' experience drafting/negotiating IT contracts/advisory work.
- Result-oriented/influential internally and externally.
- Proactive and resourceful regarding both team and self-role.
- Thrives under busy environments experiencing change, yet prioritizes flexible work approaches.
- Effective communicator across all business levels.
